Dear readers,we the Orthodox Baha’is of the world bring to your kind notice that the newspapers of India and other countries have reported that:
The Iranian ISNA news agency has reported that seven Baha’is are to be put on trial in an Iranian revolutionary court on charges of:
1. Espionage for Israel
2. Insulting religious sanctities
3. Propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
Please note that we, as members of the Orthodox Baha'i Faith, are not affiliated with this Baha’i organization whose members have been accused allegedly of being against this government or country or shall we ever be involved in any kind of espionage, or be guilty of insulting any religion or issuing propaganda against the constitutions of any country.
We follow the commands of the living Guardian of the Baha’i Faith.Our beloved Guardian, Joel Bray Marangella, the third Guardian of Baha’i Faith, has taught us that according to the Teachings of Baha'u'llah, the Founder of the Baha'i Faith, a true Bahai must be completely obedient to the government and follow the laws of the country. We should not insult any religion and must respect them all equally.
We have been enjoined by Him to eliminate:
1. Religious prejudice
2. Racial prejudice
3. Prejudice against women
4. National prejudice
We find in one of the Tablets of 'Abdu'l-Baha in the book titled "Writings of 'Abdu'l-Baha" in which He mentioned the Teachings of Baha'u'llah which He stated "abrogate and nullify religious, racial, political, patriotic and economic prejudices."
The members of this Baha'i organization, who do not accept the living Guardian of the Faith, and who have therefore been classified by us as Heterodox Bahai's, should consider the flagrant inequity and injustice of their own recent decision to initiate legal action against us in a civil court in the United States with the objective of preventing us from calling ourselves Baha'is and using the sacred symbols of our Faith.
We ask them:
Why cannot we call ourselves “Baha’is?
Why cannot we use the word Baha’i?
While these Heterodox Baha'is claim to believe in the elimination of the same prejudices that we do, as listed above, why do they not observe what they preach in their relationship with us?
We therefore invite and urge them to eliminate their blatant prejudice against the Orthodox Baha’is and permit us to freely practice the Bahai Faith under the Guardianship of the living Guardian, Joel Bray Marangella.
We pray for the long life of our Guardian.

It's obvious why we call you Covenant Breakers. You hate the "heterodox" Baha's so much that you legitimize Iran's groundless charges and thus tacitly oapprove of the murder of these seven possible martyrs. The only Baha'is who practice hatred that I know of is your own organization who shuns people for daring to question the legitimacy of the headless body you call the UHJ. We do not approve murder or persecution of anyone. Your organization, however, has systematically and continuously persecuted us. Educate yourself, please, before you cast aspersions against anyone.

1- You do not have any right whatsoever to call anybody a Covenant-breaker, nor does your bogus UHJ. Even a legitimate and real Universal House of Justice, which in the future will be established according to the provisions of the Will and Testament of the Master, have such a right.
2- True followers of the Faith of God i.e. Orthodox Baha’is do not hate any one.
3- Orthodox Baha’is are standing firm against all sorts of prejudice, intolerance, discrimination and oppression and wish all people of the earth, even the worst enemy of the true Faith of God, i.e. the bogus UHJ and its agents, enjoyment of freedom of conscience and religion, freedom of speech and expression of their beliefs.
4- I do not see any comments for or against Iran in the article. The writer objects to the hypocrisy of the bogus UHJ which, while lamenting the oppression of the Baha’is in Iran, is itself doing the same thing to Orthodox Baha’is. Your indecency of calling true Baha’is Covenant-breakers is a small example of such hypocrisy.
5- We hope the authorities in Iran may reconsider the charges brought against these individuals and allow independent and impartial observation of the judicial proceedings.
6- As it is mentioned in the article “according to the Teachings of Baha'u'llah, the Founder of the Baha'i Faith, a true Baha’i must be completely obedient to the government and follow the laws of the country. We should not insult any religion and must respect them all equally.”

Orthodox Baha’is, I can assure you pray every day, for the end of suffering for the entire world. We, like you, want to see the end of tyranny in this world and maybe even in our own life time.
I believe though, that the reason the NSA/ Haifa / Heterodox Baha’is call us “covenant breakers” is not only because of the position that we take in supporting and defending the Guardianship, but because of a consummate fear that binds you from investigating for yourself the Truth of our position. I understand that the first principal “Independent Investigation of Truth” has been removed from the flyers now being distributed in the Temple in Wilmette . I have sent an email to Mr. Rajendra's email address along with the Farsi translation of your article. Hope you have receivd it. But I assume that you and Mr. Rajendra do not know Persian and that is why it is not loaded in the blog.
Any way your article is written on the realities and facts. I congratulate you and as you have not included it in the blog therefore sending the Farsi Translation in this comment column. I hope that Farsi readers will read the article.

اعضاي تشکيلات بهائي (پيروان بيت العدل)و که ولي امر زنده را قبول ندارند و به همين خاطر از ما متمايز ميشوند بايد بي عدالتي و بيانصافي آشکار خود را در تصميمات اخیر خود با هدف ممانعت ما از اینکه خود را بهایی بنامیم و ممانعت از استفاده از نماد های مقدس دیانتمان که منجر به آغاز اقدام قانوني عليه ما در دادگاه مدني آمريکا شد در نظر داشته باشند
ما از آنان مي پرسيم:
چرا ما نميتوانيم خود را بهائي بناميم؟
چرا ما نميتوانيم از واژه "بهايي استفاده کنيم؟
چرا عليرغم اينکه بهائیان پیرو بیت العدل ادعای ترک همان تعصبات فوق الذکر را دارند
در روابطشان با ما آنها را لحاظ نميکنند؟

هوارد گري ميگويد:واضح است که چرا ما شما را ناقضان ميثاق ميناميم. شما آنقدر از بهائيان پيرو بيت العدل متنفريد که اتهامات بياساس ايران را مشروع ميدانيد و به طور ضمني مرگ هفت شهيد احتمالي را قبول ميکنيد. اين درجه از نفرت شايسته کسي که خود را بهائي ميداند نيست. حال چه درست باشد چه نه.

It seems it is necessary that I repeat my response to Mr. Howard Garey in Persian to prevent possible misunderstandings.
عنوان این مقاله که شخصی ناشناس آنرا ترجمه نموده "زندانیان بهائی ، زندانیان وجدان" میباشد که مترجم آنرا عمدأ یا سهوأ از قلم انداخته است . شخصی بنام هاوارد گاری نویسنده مقاله را مورد حمله قرار داده است که محتوای آن بوسیله مترجم ناشناس در متن ترجمه گنجانده شده است

2-بهائیان حقیقی از کسی متنفر نیستند.
3-بهائیان حقیقی در ایستادگی درمقابل هر گونه تبعیض ، احتناق ، تجاوز به حقوق وآزادی افراد راسخ هستند و آزادی عقیده و بیان آنرا برای همه میخواهند حتی برای بد ترین دشمن دیانت حقیقی بهائی یعنی بیت العدل بدلی و عواملش.
4-در متن مقاله هیچگونه اظهار نظری چه له و چه علیه حکومت اسلامی نشده است و هدف نویسنده اعتراض به دوروئی بیت العدل بدلی است که از یکسو برای وضعیت بهائیان در ایران ابراز نگرانی میکند اما از طرف دیگر خود مرتکب اعمال مشابه نسبت به بهائیان حقیقی میشود . اینکه شما بیشرمانه بهائیان حقیقی را ناقض خطاب نمودید نمونه کوچکی از اینگونه اعمال است
5-امید است که مقامات مسئول در ایران در اتهامات وارده به این افراد تجدید نظر نموده واجازه نظارت بیطرفانه و مستقل بر جریان رسیدگی قضائی داده شود.
6-همانطور که در متن مقاله ذکر شده است بر اساس رهنمود حضرت بهاءالله بهائیان باید از حکومت و قوانین ممالکی که ساکنند پیروی نموده و نسبت به ادیان دیگر و پیروان آنها با احترام وبطور مساوی رفتار نمایند.
