Some of the friends enquire as to why the Divine Cause (Bahá'í Faith) has become divided into different sects? What are the factors behind it? Who is responsible for this division?

Hello my friend,
There are now perhaps seven or eight divisions (some call them sects) of Baha'i. I belong to none of those divisions, nor can I be considered a seperate division. I am a Baha'i.
Concerning a guardian: In the KITAB-I-'AHD Baha'u'llah lines out the role of the Agshan, Afnan, and kindred and emphatically states that although given a special task in this dispensation, they are not the line of living guardians.
There are multiple reasons to believe that a living guardian has been teased out of the writings by Shoghi Effendi and Abdul Baha but the writings themselves do not create a living guardian.
Shoghi at the most significant says that Baha'u'llah merely 'alluded' to the guardian.
Concerning consultation, it appears to me that Baha'u'llah insisted that we consult on ALL matters, and Abdul Baha said that we even consult with our self.
None of this is sufficient reason for the various sects (divisions) to choose up sides and slug it ouit denying all others the right to be Baha'i.
Baha'u'llah brought an inclusive religious concept not an exclusive new church.
I would enjoy consulting with you on any of these but I will not join you in a fundamentalist jousting match.
So who created the sects? Anyone who demands that the personal world view they have developed is in fact the one and only true faith.
We need to consult on everything.
